Transfer files without a cable โ any device, any OS
Cables are annoying. Bluetooth is slow. Cloud drives want an account. Here is the fastest way to move a file between two devices using only a browser.
What you need
A modern browser on each device. That is it. No USB-C cable, no lightning cable, no OTG adapter, no login.
Step-by-step
- On device A, open
copyboard.cloudand tap Create Clipboard. - Drop the files onto the board (drag & drop on desktop, or tap ๏ผ Add โ File on mobile).
- Tap ๐ Share to reveal a QR code, a link, and a short 8-character code.
- On device B, scan the QR โ or type the code on copyboard.cloud.
- Same board opens. Tap any file and choose Download.
What types of files can I transfer?
Any type โ images (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP), videos (MP4, MOV, WEBM), documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX), archives (ZIP, RAR), installers (APK, DMG, EXE), source code, everything.
Size limit
100 MB per file, no limit on how many files you drop.
Is it faster than USB?
For a photo or PDF, yes โ you save the time of finding the cable, plugging it in, unlocking the phone, and finding the file in the phone's explorer. For multi-gigabyte transfers, a cable is still faster.
Frequently asked questions
- Do the devices need to be near each other?
- No โ this works over the internet, so the devices can be anywhere.
- Do I need Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct?
- No, just a normal internet connection on each device.
- What if I lose the code?
- The board can only be opened with the code. Losing it means starting over.
